What is tarot?
Tarot is an oracle and deck of cards for recreational and esoteric use. There are 22 cards that form the Major Arcana and represent individuals who personify a particular quality or archetype.
The 56 cards of the Minor Arcana represent events, people, behaviors, ideas and activities that happen in our lives.
For hundreds of years, tarot has been one of the most important Western mystical paths to fortune-telling, divination, and self-knowledge.
At its simplest level, tarot is a universal language that speaks through a variety of archetypal symbols: Each card has an image, a name, and a number, which are powerful symbols and have specific meanings.
Knowing the meaning behind these symbols and your reactions to them means you will be able to identify these qualities in your life, work with them in a positive way and improve your personal development and relationships.
Symbols and archetypes have deep meaning, with many layers and levels of understanding. They open us to hidden depths within ourselves that we might otherwise unconsciously choose to deny, repress, or exile.
This universal language makes tarot a unique tool for getting to know yourself and making choices about the present and the future!
